MBC FM acquires Prodys Audio Codecs

MBC FM, a reference radio station in the Middle East, has acquired a set of Nomada IP XL portable audio codecs for contributions over 3G mobile networks and Prontonet audio codecs for their studio facilities.

MBC FM is currently using these portable IP audio codecs to establish a link between Lebanon and Dubai to do live interviews to the contestants of the famous TV program Arab Idol.

Nomada IP XL is a 4-audio-inputs, full-duplex, dual (Program & Talkback) audio codec which works on IP,3G/3.5G, ISDN and PSTN networks. Its robust and compact design and a flat control surface that prevents damage to the knobs and controls, makes it very easy to use.

Nomada IP XL comes fitted with an inbuilt channel mixer to route and mix all the input sources and output destinations. All audio and communication parameters can be remotely configured and controlled. These can be stored in different presets to make setup and use by non technical staff very easy.
